Hello. My name is Linda Yuki Nakanishi, and this is my creative blog.

Over the past many years most of my creative work has been done on the computer, having been working as a graphic/web designer full-time (which is a very rewarding career). But I’ve realized lately that over these years I have slowly drifted away from the Art that I once loved doing, the hands on kind where you take pen to paper, or paint to canvas and get right into it with no computer in sight. I believe there is room in my creative realm for both digital and non-digital art to co-exist once again.

So this blog will serve as my motivation and documentation of my creative endeavors.

Oh and incase you are curious about the name Quirky Lotus, it stems from the fact that I am riddled with quirks that I like to think of as enduring qualities. And secondly, my admiration for the lotus , which, aside from being a beautiful Japanese symbol, is the only flower that is born from the earth, grows up through the waters and blooms in the sunlight. It is strong and can survive the three elements of earth, water and air.
